Research group „Clinical outcome and quality in surgery”
Focus:
We are an interdisciplinary group of scientists at Brandenburg Medical School (University Hospital Brandenburg) using administrative, clinical and registry data to describe outcome and quality in surgery. Our focus are complex operations in gastrointestinal surgery. Knowledge of the results of complex operations and their influencing factors are the base for improvements in this filed. To learn more about our research look at our publications.
We started our first projects to use artificial intelligence to improve outcome and quality in surgery in 2020. The focus is on the use of artificial intelligence in laparoscopic surgery and in the analysis of pathological slides of colorectal cancer.
